Jubilee Training Centre

What

Jubilee Training Centre is firmly rooted in the church, God’s intended vehicle for the equipping of the saints and His voice to the world. We are covered pastorally by Jubilee Church, which is a resource church involved in training leaders and giving input into various churches locally, nationally, and internationally. We realise that not all churches have the resources to equip and train their leaders. It is therefore our heart to receive students sent by their local church and provide the opportunity to experience the major aspects of Christian ministry. With a solid foundation of theology and practical testing of their character, the student is then sent back to their local church to serve as God desires.

Why

The concept of Jubilee Training Centre was birthed out of a realisation that a gap exists between the type of training received from a standard theological qualification, and the type of practical equipping and character development required to lead a local church. The former qualification produces head and theoretical knowledge, but the fundamental need of a church leader in the 21st century is of a tested, proven character that will sustain his or her gifting and calling. People don’t fall out of their walk with God and the Christian ministry because their gifts fail them, but rather because their character is not able to support them. We emphasise leadership training, sound biblical doctrine and excellence in service which leads to equipping and releasing individuals to impact lives, communities and nations.

How

All theological teaching and classroom based equipping is followed up with practical application and evaluation. This is carefully and purposefully designed to follow the principle of “I do, you watch”, “you do, I watch”, now “you go do”. Each course starts with an orientation to build team unity and lay a foundation for the year. Students then undergo ongoing discipleship and mentoring on an individual and personal basis with their course leaders. The fruit of this process has been phenomenal and students who embrace the process have seen major breakthrough as God begins to work with and through them. Lectures are presented by the leadership of Church of the Nations, Jubilee Church and national and international speakers by invitation.

Who

Students come from a variety of backgrounds, nationalities, languages and ages. The majority of students are 18 to 35 years old, with many married couples. The courses are ideal for young adults who are leaving school or university and for people who are at a turning point in their lives. The Jubilee Training Centre is for those who recognise the need for a solid foundation in their Christian faith, practical equipping and Godly character development, enabling them to live life skilfully, make decisions from a biblical worldview and walk in their God given destiny. Each course has a maximum capacity of 20 students to ensure 1 to 1 discipleship.

Where

Accommodation and lecture facilities are based in Maidstone in Kent, England. Students are exposed to practical training across the United Kingdom with local and international missions taking place throughout the year.

When

The courses run every academic year starting in September or March (depending on the duration of the course) with graduation in July. It is advisable to enrol early as space is limited.
